Florist2U by Just Because... Flowers has experienced the busiest January since we were founded in November 2006. The last week of the month was interesting, we were asked by Liverpool Victoria (LV=) to create 12 large green heart shaped table arrangements along with an L and V, which had to be mounted in terracotta pots painted in teal to match corporate colours. In addition to this, we created several funeral flower arrangements and hand-tied bouquets for delivery local and national delivery. We have also received serveral orders in advance of Valentines Day, which is encouraging.

Sad farewell's and happy i do's

Another really busy week, with funerals and a wedding to create flower arrangements for, as well as several wedding enquiries for spring and summer. January has so far proved to be the busiest we have experienced since the business was established in 2006 and we are already investigating expanding our shop due to increased custom. Over the next week we will be adding even more flower arrangements and hand tied bouquets to our online florist website and gearing up our advertising for Valentines day.

The first week back

What an interesting week back, the business saw more than a 50% increase in sales over this time last year. The website has been refreshed with a new header and a new range of seasonal flowers introduced. To see our revised website, please log on to www.florist2u.co.uk.

The week ahead looks to be even busier than the last, although as you find at this time of year there are several funerals to provide flowers for, which is both a sad time and a time to reflect, as life is a fragile creature. Just Because... Flowers specialise in providing sympathy flowers and understand how tough it can be to say goodbye to a loved one or friend, in fact, we too have had to say farewell to a good friend of the business Julia who passed away on Boxing Day and will be sadly missed by us all. God bless Julia (Hula Jula), you will be sorely missed - Emma.

Welcome to the first blog posting for Florist2U by Just Because...Flowers.

Florist2U our online florist and Just Because...Flowers our retail business jointly had a busy Christmas, so it was good for us all to have a much needed week off. As we return to work Monday 5th, we are already focusing on the future challenges of 2009, in what will no doubt prove to be continued tough market conditions given the credit crunch.

Just Because...Flowers have already had our first new major corporate commission for January with ongoing work requirements throughout the year, watch this space for more details.

As our online business Florist2U continues to expand and we have now employed additional services to help with our Search Engine Optimisation. This should see us improve results and ensure we remain in Top 10 positions on the major internet search engines, which is exciting and a must to ensure we meet 2009 business objectives.
